Darlene first became interested in the art of DJing in early 2005, shortly after being told by an acquaintance that she couldn't touch his turntables because they were "too technical"...

... she immediately marched down to her local music store and picked up a pair and from that day on, she got straight down-to-business - sharpening her beat-matching, programming and track-selection. Two short years later, after holding down a residence and aiding in promoting the successful and long-running "Extra Strength Saturdays" @ Die Maschine... nowadays Miss SW@T plays many local & out of city / province events and club-nights, whipping Canada's dance-floors into dripping masses... as well as playing feature sets on Krisisdnb.com (Wednesdays and Thursdays 12-2am GMT) ProtokolRadio.com "Basscase Airwaves" (Friday nights 9-11 EST) and special guest appearances on Bassdrive.com show "Rinseout Radio" (Saturdays from 7-9 CST) Playing exclusive dub-plates - Darlene feels quite secure in her place as one of the proud (and few) female DJs in Winnipeg, MB.
